In brief:
I am an enthusiastic educator with a passion for sharing geologic knowledge with my students. I joined the Geology Department at SUNY New Paltz in Fall 2013 where my job responsibilities include:

Lead and teach multi-day Spring semester field excursion courses to various locations in Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, and New Mexico focused on regional tectonics and geologic history.

Assist with organizing and coordinating the weekly Field Geology capstone course focused on the structural geology of the Hudson Valley fold-thrust belt, and the Fall semester weekend field excursion to Acadia National Park, Maine.

Teach lecture and laboratory sections of the introductory level Physical Geology course.

Teach laboratory sections of Mineralogy, Petrology, and Historical Geology.

Actively engaged in undergraduate summer research projects focused on magmatic processes using fieldwork, petrography, SEM analyses, and geophysical modelling.

Assist with organizing and coordinating other one-day field trips for Physical Geology, Historical Geology, Mineralogy, Stratigraphy and Sedimentation, Geomorphology, Paleontology, Petrology, and the multi-day weekend field course to Acadia National Park, ME.
